I'm happy!

I awoke this morning to a few of my housemates making their lunches, working together to get out the door in time for the departing vans.
My team doesn't meet until 8:45 so I still have time...awwwww....

WOW. BEAUTIFUL. CRISP. COLD. SPACIOUS. OLD HOMES. CRICKETY PORCHES. FRIENDLY HELLOS. CLICHE ICE BREAKERS. 12 PASSENGER VANS. AMPED INDIVIDUALS.
This is what has marked my time here in Perry Point thus far. It is so great. We are based in the town of Perryville, and the VA Hospital campus is a huge expanse of land right on the bay called 'The Point!' The residents in the quiet town of Perryville welcome us warmly in town.

I am loving it here so far. I'm meeting as many people as I can and people already think I'm crazy or on crack cuz I'm sooo stoked and excited to be here. It just feels right. Oh and the mix of people is great. There are a lot of 22, 23, and 24 year old college grads as well as cool 18 year olds and in betweeners. I'm kind of amazed at how many white people there are...but there is a lot of diversity regardless. Yes!!!

We've been doing in-processing this week, physicals are tomorrow and then more team activities and such. I think a group of us might go to Baltimore on Saturday... one of my housemates has a car. WOO WOOO.
