In Birmingham they love the gov'ner, ohh ohh ohhhh

Our next round project is in Birmingham, Alabama!!
WOWSER! We are so excited to be back in the south...and in a place where so much history has taken place! YESA!!
So my team will be working with Habitat for Humanity once again...only this time a little different. We will be doing more of the work rather than directing college volunteers. ALSO!: we will be working at a family camp for injured Iraqi vets and their families. The organization is a non-profit, non-governmental agency that puts on a week long camp for disabled vets and their families in the Birmingham area! I am really looking forward to the stories, experiences and learning that is ahead!
Our housing is looking like we will be living in a 3 bedroom house in the city for the first 5 weeks and then at the camp the last 2 weeks. We are excited to be near civilization! The last few weeks we've had to drive 30 minutes just to grab some fast food or catch a movie. Hopefully our house is in the downtown area!

We're wraping up our work here at Trail Blazers Camp in New Jersey next week and then we're off to the campus for mid year training. We have a one week summer break starting June 28th. I'm soo excited and ready for it. I will be meeting my family in Taos, New Mexico!!! Yeee haaa!! YES!

More to come later.

Hugs and love!
Becca
