Off to NOLA!

Wow. My team and I leave at 7am tomorrow (Friday 3/7)! The two main emotions I'm feeling right now is excitement and 'awww, I don't wanna leave yet.' I've grown accustomed to Perryville and the Ameri-village neighbors and friends that I've had this past month. It's been nice to have a 'home' to come back to each day, and people to come home and eat, play and chat with. Now we're off to new faces and places and the whole transition again...but at least my team and I will be doing it together. :) What did I expect, the next 9 months will be a constant strand of stability-instability-stability...etc. I just adore my team though, so I'm very very grateful for that.

Again, my team and I will be in New Orleans managing/directing volunteers for Habitat 4 Humanity: St. Bernards Parish. We will be living at the volunteer housing operated by Habitat, called Camp Hope (a former middle school). I'm not sure how dependable my internet will be once we get to Camp Hope so my blogs might be few and far between.

OH, last weekend I met up in NYC with two of my friends that I traveled with this past summer, Beth and Krista. We had a great time. Caught a Broadway show; Rock and Roll, wandered the towering streets, sipped hot chocolate from a posh chocolatery...hmm, and ate some good ass pizza! Here are some pics:
