We made it to Athenos safely!
After a day of train rides...waiting....and more waiting in the hot greek climate, We united with thia Fotini (sophys aunt)! ...and she speaks german! HAHAH. I am having a great time practicing the little I know. She doesn't speak english and sophy knows a little greek so where there are gaps I am sometimes able to fill in, its great! Fotini says "we speak like a salad"..oh these greek people really are philosopical! haha.
We had some typical greek food last night, the three of us in her quaint 2 bedroom apartment, and then we walked to an outdoor/park dance performance where we experienced traditional greek music/dance. Today we are taking it easy...checking online for ferry prices for San Torini. We plan on leaving tomorrow sometime. Jenny arrives tonight at 9pm! There is sooo much to see in Athens alone and I know we won't be able to do even half of it with the time we have...but what are ya gonna do.
It is very 'zesti' (hot) and humid here!
We will be flying home in a week. So sad. It went way too fast.
